Pregnancy Growing Pains

Pregnancy Growing Pains: My Journey

Hey everyone, Alli here! At almost 8 months pregnant, I've been doing some nesting and wanted to hop on to talk about the growing pains of pregnancy. Baby girl will be here soon, and these pains are real!

Rib Pain and Other Pains

Lately, I've had this persistent pain in my ribs because baby girl is curled up in a ball, pressing against them. This has been going on for weeks and gets worse as the day progresses. Being 5'9" with a long torso hasn't spared me from this discomfort. Some days, it feels like I might have bruised ribs!

Common Pregnancy Issues

Swelling is another common issue, though I haven’t experienced much of it. Some of my friends have had swelling in their hands and feet, which can sometimes lead to preeclampsia. If you're dealing with swelling, be sure to talk to your doctor.

First Trimester Troubles

In the beginning, I dealt with hormonal headaches and nausea. I never threw up, but the nausea could be intense. Around 28 weeks, it came back mildly. Food, peppermint, ginger, and sparkling water have been my go-tos to manage it. Also, taking my Miracle Mom Wellness prenatal vitamins at night helped keep the nausea at bay.

Unexpected Symptoms

Other symptoms I’ve heard from friends include nosebleeds, spotting, and breast tenderness. Personally, I haven't had spotting, but I do get winded easily now, especially walking up stairs. This shortness of breath is a common late-pregnancy symptom.

Staying Positive

Despite these challenges, it’s all worth it. Staying active by walking my dog has helped with the pain and tiredness. Remember, these discomforts are temporary, and keeping a positive mindset is key.

Share Your Experiences

I’d love to hear about your pregnancy experiences and any tips you have for managing the growing pains. Let's support each other through this journey!

Stay strong and take care!
